Contessa Tawanna Brown

October 12, 1971 - February 2, 2021

Contessa affectionately known as “Tee” was born and raised in Glenarden, MD and graduated from Eleanor Roosevelt High in 1989. As multifaceted as Tee was she went from being a Professional Model and Licensed Cosmetologist in the early 90’s to stepping out on Faith in 2015 to live out her dream of serving the community taste buds through her catering company “Royal Elegance.” Contessa committed her life to her Three Sons and family, a Pancreatic Cancer Survivor from the tender age of 16, was just the beginning of her fire behind her Praises to the “LORD.” She enjoyed life after cancer with over half of her Gastrointestinal system removed and over 30 years of enduring the ups and downs of being a type 1 Diabetic that lead to Neuropathy coupled with Demyelination Disease. Contessa Tawanna Brown born October 12, 1971, departed this life on February 2, 2021 at Inova Fairfax Hospital surrounded by family. Contessa leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory and is survived by her husband Alfred Spearman, her two sons James Anthony Roberson (Gregory Roberson and Caitlyn Wells), Marquise Dwayne Sheffield, Father Junior Leroy Brown, Mother Natalie Vaunita Brown, Sister Javon Brown, Brotherly figures/Cousin Michael Talley (Chanel Talley, Laquan Lightfoot), Rick “RockSteady” Brown (Leah Brown), Antonio Brown, and William Chapman. Nieces Daizja Hamilton (Kiesha), Jayani Livingston, Great-Nephew Jacob Dawayne Hamilton, Aunt Audrey Talley-Rush, Uncles John Rush and Archie Talley, Sisterly figures/cousins Newie Howard, Renee Talley, Kathy Tolson (Russell) - Dearly loved Friends Patricia Coleman, Andrea Riley, , Sunseara McDaniel and Oscar Hernandez, and Oscar Hernandez Impactful Motherly Figures Gwen Riley (Kenneth Riley), MaryAnn McCoy (Shannon) and Sandra Frazier (Kim), and a hosts of other Family and Friends. She was preceded in death by her Beloved son Alfred Dwight Brown, brothers Anthony Brown and Dwayne Brown, Aunt Bernadettee Talley, Uncle Eric Talley, Grandparents Agnes and Archie Talley and God-Mother Mary Brown.
