Carolyn Ann Walker Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Carolyn Ann Walker went home to Jesus on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at age 56. Carolyn was born to Shirley Marie Howard-Gross and Calvin Walker on May 29, 1964 in Los Angeles, California. She, however, spent most of her life in the state of Maryland. She was also blessed to have a loving step-father, Sterling Gross, Sr. Carolyn was a loving daughter, sister, Aunt and devoted friend. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Carolyn had a special way of connecting with people and staying connected. She never forgot a birthday, Christmas or any holiday and always made sure to send everyone a card. What may seem like a small simple gesture meant so much to so many people. She was a member of Cedar Baptist Church. She played and taught piano and guitar. She loved gospel music. She was the church secretary under Pastor Marcus Tillman and first Lady Blonda Tillman. Carolyn joins her mother, Shirley Marie Howard-Gross and her biological father Calvin Walker in addition to other family and friends in Heaven. She is survived by her Step-father, Sterling Gross, Sr, her sister, Sharon Garcia, her brother, Earl Walker, her Step-Sisters: Monica Washington, Gail Johnson, Tracy Thomas, Bernell Gross, a Step-brother, Sterling Gross, Jr., her brother-in-law, Anibal Garcia and her sister-in-law Valencia Walker. She is also survived by her niece, Jasmin Garcia and her nephews, Aaron Garcia, Shawn Walker and Earl Walker, Jr. Carolyn has many other loving extended family members. Carolyn is also survived by close friends who she considered family. They are: her best-friend, business partner and room-mate, Thelma Lee, and her four children. Joclyn Cypress, Thelma Wallace, Thomas Ford and Renardo Ford as well as the rest of the family. She was loved by Pastor Charles Greene, and Pastor Vincent Hucks and a host of other pastors and friends.
