Sasha Desdunes McNealy

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sasha Desdunes McNealy, age 47, who left us peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Sasha was a devoted wife, cherished mother, and woman of unwavering faith whose light touched all who knew her. Sasha was preceded in death by her father, Jean L. Desdunes. She leaves behind her cherished husband, James, who was her steadfast support and partner throughout their journey together. Sasha was a devoted mother to her two wonderful children: her daughter, Michaela, age 9, and her son James., age 7, who filled her life with boundless joy and purpose. Additionally, she is survived by her beloved mother Raymonde, her loving brother Sargio and his wife Jayme, as well as her beloved nieces and nephew—Peyton, Walker, Jordon, and Camden—who will forever hold dear the memories they created together. A proud undergraduate of the College of William & Mary, Sasha went on to earn her Master of Social Work degree from Rutgers University and her Master of Business Administration degree from Howard University. She dedicated her career to serving her country with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where her intelligence, integrity, and commitment to justice made a lasting impact on her colleagues and the communities she served. Sasha was a proud and devoted member of Delta Theta Sigma Sorority, Inc., where she formed lifelong friendships and upheld the values of Sisterhood. Scholarship. Service. Throughout her life, Sasha's faith in God has served as her guiding light and source of comfort. Her strong spiritual foundation was evident in how she approached every challenge with grace and how she loved others with an open heart. She lived her values daily, showing kindness to all and demonstrating what it means to walk in faith. Sasha will be remembered for her warm smile, her fierce love for her family, her dedication to her work, and her unwavering belief in doing what is right. Though her time with us was far too brief, the love she shared and the example she set will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
