Patsy Ann Thomas Alfred, 72, of Clinton, MD. On Monday March 3, 2025, Mrs. Patsy Ann Thomas Alfred was called home. Mrs. Pat who everyone called her, was born in Washington, DC on December 19,1952 to the late Louis A. Thomas, Sr. and Julie Bostic Thomas. Patsy grew up in Washington DC where she attended DC Public Schools. Patsy graduated high school from Western High School and went on to pursue her nursing career. Patsy attended serval years of nursing school and finally received her nursing certification in 1992. Patsy became gainfully employed and began working at DC village nursing home working closely with seniors and individuals with disabilities. Patsy gave her life to Christ and was a devoted Christian. At church is where she met her husband of 29 years, the late Doctor and Rev. Lonnie C. Alfred senior. Pasty had 1 sister Julia A. Thomas (Cookie) and 2 brothers Louis A. Thomas, Jr. (June Boy) and George Francis Brown (Bad Boy). She had a total of 10 children, Joseph, Daniel, Darwin, Valerie, Dwayne, Derrick, Nicole, Lonnie, Maggie and Warren, 30 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of family and friends. Patsy was a giver and loved helping people. She fostered and mentored many youths in the DC area while caring for her own biological children. She enjoyed thrifting and bargain shopping. Patsy always had a gentle spirit and always was a person everyone could confide in and seek advice in. No matter what your story was Patsy always lends an ear to listen and never judged. She always exercised deep faith and was truly a woman of strong faith and determination. In 2015 Patsy retired and relocated to Dover Delaware where she spent the latter days of her life. Friends may visit with the family Friday, March 14, 2025, from 10am until time of funeral service 11am at Providence-Fort Washington United Methodist Church, 10610 Old Fort Road, Fort Washington, MD 20744. Interment immediately to follow at Heritage Memorial Cemetery, 13472 Poplar Hill Rd, Waldorf, MD 20601.
